Two Factor Authentication at its Most
Versatile
The Authenex® Strong Authentication
System (ASAS®)
 |
The ASAS® two factor authentication
system helps organizations of all sizes protect access to
networks, Web sites and OWA email. Our customers know
that ASAS® System two factor authentication allows access only
to authorized users, by requiring them to authenticate the same
way an ATM does – with something they have (in this case, a
small token) and something they know (a password/PIN). Anyone
who can't authenticate, doesn't get access. |
| |
The ASAS® System is a perfect fit
for EVERYTHING AnyWare™, because it provides the highest level
of security, while ensuring that access to our customers' critical
information is simple and easy to use.
- Jeff Goodey, Chief Technology Officer, ASIERUS, Inc. |
The ASAS® System can be extended to provide
more than just two factor authentication. Through the use of Authenex
A-Key® tokens and optional software, the ASAS® System can
also help an organization's users:

Easy to Install, Maintain and
Administer Two Factor Authentication
You don't have to be a technical guru
to install, administer and use ASAS® System two factor authentication.
It is as easy to install as a word processor: simply insert
the installation CD and follow the instructions. Installation
and configuration usually takes about half an hour.
Using a Web browser, even low-tech
people can perform most administrative tasks anywhere, any
time. In large companies, this reduces IT costs, while the
system can relieve smaller companies (who cannot afford
IT staff) of cumbersome maintenance contracts.
The User Self Service Center module
enables two factor authentication end users to perform routine
A-Key® token
management and deployment tasks, which include initializing
tokens, requesting replacements for lost or stolen tokens,
requesting temporary OTP numbers, etc. Having users do these
jobs reduces IT costs and frees up IT staff for the more
technical issues they face.

Scalable Two Factor Authentication
The ASAS® System can scale to handle
the two factor authentication needs of small and medium
sized businesses as well as enterprises with thousands of
users. While enterprises need large, custom two factor authentication
deployments, small and medium sized businesses can implement
two factor authentication by purchasing and installing pre-packaged
versions of the ASAS® System at set prices.

Cost Effective Two Factor Authentication
Security shouldn't cost an arm and
a leg. The ASAS® System is very competitively priced, which
provides superior return on investment. And there are no
hidden costs, no unknown future commitments, no unusual
fees hanging over your head - no surprises and NO
renewal fees.

More Than Two Factor Authentication
All Authenex software products utilize
A-Key tokens, which enables our customers to add features
to their security solution. Depending on the token(s) selected,
an organization can deploy Challenge/Response and/or One time
Password authentication; encrypted, secured USB flash drive
storage; portable certificate storage and use; and portable,
secure Web credential storage and log in.
Besides being a versatile hub for ASAS
System extension, all USB A-Key tokens have several features
in common:
- Convenient size easily fits onto
a key ring.
- Any information stored on A-Key
tokens is encrypted, so you know it's safe. Depending
on the token used, users can securely store Web Credentials,
bank account information, FTP/IM/VPN credentials, as well
as files, pictures, etc. This functionality is built into
the hardware and cannot be altered or erased.
- All USB A-Key®
tokens have up to two levels of password protection:
user and administrator. Passwords can be defined for both
levels, or one for each. Separating the passwords enables
a higher level of token security and enables enterprise
administrators to maintain a high degree of consistency
and control over tokens they deploy.
- Brute force access protection
secures all stored data against loss or theft: if anyone
tries to log in to the token and fails a specified number
of times, the token will erase all user data and restore
itself to factory default settings. This functionality
is also built into the hardware and cannot be altered
or erased.

Versatile,
Secure Certificate Use and Web Logon Security
Optionally, My
A-Key™ software and ACert™
software can be installed on A-Key®
tokens. ACert™
software provides secure certificate storage and use.
This enables A-Key®
tokens to be used for any PKI-related activities, including
Windows
Smart card logon. My A-Key™
software enables the secure
storage of secure Web site login credentials, as well
as secure
Web site log in. With My
A-Key™ software, users can
securely and automatically
log in to Web sites without leaving log in credentials
wherever they go. And since My
A-Key™ software and ACert™
software come pre-installed on Authenex
A-Key® tokens, all users receive all the benefits of the
token.
